For First time skaters and parents, here are some useful tips:
*Skaters MUST wear a CSA approved helmet - for all CanSkate skaters Stage 5 and lower.  Pre CanSkaters MUST have a
helmet with cage
*Mitts and gloves a MUST!
*Washable markers are used on the ice.  Sometimes this may not come out of clothing.  Please keep this in mind
when dressing your Skater
*Parents are cannot watch from the players bench area.  This causes a distraction and is a safety hazard.
*Please, NO photography
*There may be times when skaters may sit or lie on the ice - do not get upset if coaches are not running to
pick up your child.  Coaches encourage the skaters to learn and get up on their own.  Coaches will encourage skaters
to stay on the ice and keep trying.  If a Coach requires the skaters' Guardian, they will waive you down to the
players bench area.
*Program Assistants will be helping on most sessions.  Please remember that the Program Assistants are volunteers.
*Please always remain in the rink area.  Skaters will not be allowed to leave the ice surface without their Guardian's
permission and presence.
